Skip and Marilyn were one of the early inhabitants and their home was an anchor point for the island. Jorg and Mika built an architectural mansion high up on the cliff. It was one of the first houses on the island. Over 35 years they had 2 children who grew up in paradise. Stephan built another impressive house with his co-owner Victor. Stephan died early in his life and Victor continues to improve their residence. Juhan and Haley and their two daughters fondly remember their time on Passage when the girls were young. Roger and Diana – and dog Minnie spent many years on the island before selling their house. Pete, a gifted builder constructed a unique house with wood from his wife Nicole’s family’s land. They moved back to Vancouver to raise their 2 children. Eleanor lived on Passage Island for many years in a house her husband built from island stone. After retiring, Eleanor became a snow bird and drove her RV down to Arizona every winter with her little schnauzer. Bill M., a gifted carpenter and innovative house builder passed away much too early. His wife Jan and his daughter Jennifer still enjoy their island house. Bill and Liz G. sold their house and moved to Vancouver Island. Once while working on a project Bill suffered an aneurism. Fortunately, he recovered and never lost his sense of humour. Dorothy had the first house after Phil. She was tough, walking all the way from Horseshoe Bay to Vancouver and back to do her shopping. One could see her often on the trails collecting branches for her wood stove. Tony and Paula
Ken S. bought one of the few lots in the middle of the island without water front. When he left, he passed the house on to his son Adam who comes frequently with his wife Heidi and two children. (not pictured)
Vlodek and his wife built one of the most challenging houses on a cliff with many stairs and eccentric decor. They raised two children and eventually they left the island and moved to live in Finland. (not pictured)
